Need opinion: STS OR ATI ???

I have a bone stock 99 ws6 and am going with FI. My goal is complete drivablity with maintaining decent gas milage. Will i get better power form a base STS kit or and D1sc kit. Please tell me pros and cons and witch will perform better at the track. No other mods besides FI will be made

turbo cars make better gas milage then blower cars when they have equal HP. I say go for a STS or check out Phamspeed, they have a budget kit for $2350 that runs a GT67

Front mount turbo similar to Phamspeed. There are other companies on the market also but Phamspeed seems to have a budget minded kit available.

keep in mind i am a california resident. I figured if the sts does not get carb cert. i can remove it easy for the smog. I know ati is legal in cali

The STS kit will give you great driveablilty, drives like stock before boost. But, I will tell you that if you are only planning on adding a turbo kit, or S/C kit, that probably won't happen. Before you know it, you're ordering an intercooler, injectors....than you realize you could really use a rear end....than some tires....and the story goes on. Can you tell I'm speaking from experience?

sts killed my d1...it was much funner to drive...I ran a puny cam and it idled and got better gas mileage. Not to mention no belt issues or high IATS cause of crap ati twin intercoolers. Oh and the hundred HP and TQ it made over my 630rwhp d1 was nice too
