Default I fit 12" in her!

for those of you with the turbotech race stuff.. you can upgrade from the 7" to a 12" cone (RE-0860) without any modifications.. it fit right in. mind you I have a formula.

i have never dyno'd or raced my car with the air filter off.. but i have seen some subsantial gains at this hp level.

what kinda ponies you think there is to gain between these two and vs. none at all?

the 7 was very dirty too

Back in 94 I had a procharger on my 93 mustang and went from the small filter (5 inch?) to the big one and noticed a difference so you should pick up quite a bit. I would think it might spool a little quicker to.

Are we going to see a 150 mph from that street car this year??

dunno if the same would apply to a turbo setup but on my old vortech YSi setup i went from 713rwhp w/o filter down to 640rwhp w/ filter but it was a rather small filter(cant remember exact size) and had to be kinked a lil to clear the madman rack.
Are you going to dyno w/ the 12' filter and w/o filter MM just to see?
off topic, YES that f'in hood is wicked stryker14!!!

heads i'm hoping to see arrive tomorrow.

yes, i'm racing next sat at mir and i'm sure dynoing (afterwards lol) to get the tune straight.
my results unfortunately may not be very telling, as i am doing all pro heads at the same time as the filter.

i can certainly dyno with the new one and without one.

thats what i was thinking, could be over 50hp just filter... i may skip 1krwhp completely.. . ya right.

According to a K+N UK website, the RE-0860 is n/a rated at 370bhp. They say to allow +80% for a FI application.
http://www.filterpower.co.uk/univers...ered_clamp.htm

Now strangely for a 6" neck filter say RU-3050 ( I am using ) which dimensionally is about 4" shorter, although base is approx 8" tapering to 5" and 8" long it is rated at 585 bhp n/a. Seems a massive difference for a filter that isnt really any bigger ?

RU-3280 is 10" long, same 8" to 5" yet n/a rated to 625bhp.

It looks like you might have room to go for something shorter and thicker.....no pun intended lol

I have a 4" to 6" bellmouth to attach my RU-3050 to my blower.

Quick Reply: I fit 12" in her!
