LQ9 w/mods and SC?
Does anyone forsee a disaster waiting to happen with taking a stock LQ9 6.0L HO engine, adding an LS6 intake, (200/203, .500/.500) cam, 1.8 roller rockers, and 7 psi of Vortech boost? What kind of crank HP numbers should I expect? What's the max safe RPM on the stock bottom end (it will be backed by a 6 speed)? Is a return fuel line critical?
I'm also thinking of maybe keeping the cam (196/201 .467/.479)stock and add the other mods to keep good bottom end and midrange for the road. I figure the SC will be enough to keep high rpm runs with enough air. Thoughts and opinions?
Thanks in advance.

A good, trusted friend suggested I build a power engine combo that relies more on motor than boost. I 'll be less likely to beat it as badly and should be rewarded with better fuel economy b/c I'll not have to put my foot into it as much for the thrill. As a member of 3 generations of family truckers, in TORUE I trust. Therefore I look at the SC's role more as an aspirator assistant....I don't want to go boost crazy. Worst case scenario I'll add a 50 shot and Evans Cooling water pump just to cool the engine and charge temps...but that will be way down the road.
My curiosity is tingling at knowing the limits of this stock motor. I mean if backyard mechanics have been able to build deadly Gen I small block motors out of junkyard parts, surely the state of the art (comparatively speaking) LQ9 can make some wicked power.
