Default BPV - switching to vent to atmosphere...

Summer temps are here already, and I want to switch from venting my BPV back into the blower to venting to atmosphere.

What do I use to block off the hole where the BPV tubing goes back in, and I saw somewhere mention of a filter to put on the end of the BPV - where can I get one and what do I get ?

All there is to switching is just to remove the tubing and plug up the hole, right ?

Oh, and is there a sponsor that sells the dual SPAL fans ? I want to look into upgrading.

Thanks !

the filter you can get anywhere who sell k&n filter.

or just buy a plug from homedepot i think its a 1 1/4 and clamp it on.
here's a pic of mine. you'll see the plug on the inlet hat.

I don't see the point of the filter unless it leaks a lot so it would be sucking air back in somehow. Just get some PCV pipe caps that will fit into the hose off the inlet hat.

Thanks for the help guys, I got it done. I have a 1 1/4" rubber plumbing cap on the end of the inlet hose for now, I think I will try to get a 1 1/4" freeze plug tomorrow and clamp it into the blower inlet.

The filter on the BPV would really be just to quiet the whooshing sound down a little, not really to filter the air. I'll probably drive it with it venting to atmosphere for a few days and see if the noise starts to bother me.

Cheers,

I have a race bypass venting to atmosphere and it doesn't bother me. But it bothers everyone outside the car
