It can easily be adapted to an LS1 by changing the charge piping and header flanges. Just a matter of cutting and re-welding. The turbos are only T3/T4s, so they're little guys. Not bad for two hillrods working out of a 40' pole shed.

Well, I just ordered my 383, and would like to reach that 600 rwhp. But I don't think I can get there on my P1. Right now I am trying to decide on what CR to run?

Not tryin to bust anybody's ***** because I've often wandered and kind of slinked around this myself.... but a 3.905 bore and 4.00 stroke do give you 383ci of displacement... but don't you have to add in the volume of your combustion chamber to find the displacement of the engine, not just your stroke?

Viper, people aren't trying to bust your chops, most of us really don't like the "ricer" language. Most of us would go out of our way to spell nitrous instead of using a terms like No2. I personally don't think there is anything ricer about No2, but if someone says nawz then I have to draw the line. As for the question at hand, blowers and nitrous require 2 diffrent piston set-ups. Blowers are low compression, nitrous likes normal to high compression. Either one will get you over your 600 mark with a good heads/cam set-up. If you've already bought pistons for either set-up, just go that route. No need for both.

I don't think a P1 will get the job done but a D1 or F1 will do it no prob. Depending on what type of gas you want to run will dictate your compression ratio. If you want to run pump gas then you will probably want to go somewhere around 9:1 if you are going to use race gas or methanol then you could go a little higher

I think you are a DICK (not trying)....If you can't answer the question or help out with issues, then don't answer. Why do you have to type a half page followup of what this guy did wrong or used NOS but not NITROUS. Not even 1 of your statements are really facts, just your opinion and as proved in previous posts...mostly even WRONG. Lastly, there is nothing wrong with being inexperienced 18 yr old and going fast. Sorry that you are 50+ and have a stick up your ***.

I am a dick sometimes, but this kid doesn't know what the **** he is talking about...
I stated mostly facts, and my experience having a couple of 10 second street cars that run 10's on radials and pump gas...

A P1 should have no problem getting you 600 on a 383. I'm making what's in my sig on stock cubes and heads, just Lt's and TR cam, and that's at 7#. So I don't think you would have any problem getting over 600.

well since you work on multimillion dollar aircraft (ones which i plan on flying in a couple years i might add) then you have the knowledge to stop calling it NOS! NOS = Nitrous Oxide Systems. Call it nitrous.
im suprized no one mentioned the fact he called it nitro in the title lol
totally different animal there
