Default 4500 Flange Carb Hat Needed

I found a place that sells them but they are huge (5" opening). Does anyone know where I could find one with a smaller opening. I will probably be running a 76GTS or at biggest an 88. They only have 3" intake flanges right? Thanks.

Yeah, but they will not clear my 4" pin on hood. The damn thing is 5.5" tall and 14" long. I need something to clear my hood. Guess I could always cut the hood. Street car with intake piping visable through the hood, gotta love it.

LS1 yes, some pics but none of them are pretty right now, the car is a good bit apart. I'll send them if you're interested though. I checked speed concepts site and it looks like quite a few companies make one that may work. I like the paxton one so far, hopefully they make one for a 4500 serious tb though, they have them for 4150 for sure.

Ahh, the joys of a 4500-flange.

I've got an EV4150 and it's amazing how much bigger the 4500 is.

Are you running a flat hood? A cowl hood should have no problem clearing the hat and wingnut though.

The 4" hood will not clear it. Remember, I also have a 2" adapter which adapts my 4500 tb to 4150 intake. I didn't even think about the wingnut, damn this is a pain. I'll keep lookn'.

They don't have one either. EV is the only one that makes one for the 4500 serious. SDCE will have one in about a month or more that would be perfect but I need one sooner then that, oh well. Gordon at EV suggested milling my manifold, adapter, and he could mill the hat some as well to gain clearence. I may do this, what do you guys think?

Stock intake and TB, what do they look like again. It's been a while since I've had those parts. I'll probably just go the way of the EV hat and some modifications.

That'll be your best bet. I'd mill the adapter and the manifold and if you still need to, cut the bonnet.
