Default Single Turbo: How are you guys supporting it?

Are you making custom brackets to support the turbo or are you letting it rest on the plumbing? anyone have any pics of brackets that are being used to hold em up?

thanks!

was going to use brackets but i think cast manafolds are strong enough to hold it. If not i have one made out of an exhaust hanger that attaches to the frame and allows flex

im going to assume its far enough away. headers glow and they are RIGHT next to plug wires and some right next to the plastic intake (like harlans that went up then forward). so im going to assume his fender would be more than fine.

The more you can put on a hanger, the better.

To answer your question yes I just cut the plate to match the t-4 flange. Bracket is 1/4 mild steel. It'd be nicer to make it a little thicker like 3/8 but wanted to keep the weight down. Your welcome and thanks for the compliment.

The fender well will need to be trimmed some around the turbine but the compressor side should be fine. The fog lamp is removed so it should get plenty of cold air to help cool the area. Pretty stealth setup for a big *** turbo don't you think?

WHat is going to happen when the engine rocks toward the pass. side under WOT romp? I see the flex, but if the engine is going to rock about ~.5" your ok, but what if the sucker rocks 2"? Are you strapping the engine? Has this combo run yet?

Both the driver and passenger side have flex joints on the cross over tubes. Nothing is under tension during expansion or torque.
