Vortec Blower Question
I have just purchased a supercharger for my transam. This supercharger was off a 01 Camaro. I own a 98 F-Body model with an ls1. It also has a aftercooler with it. Are there going to be any major things needing to be changed or should it just bolt on just like the other car. Thanks Alot I am new to learning about this stuff.

If your car is a 1998 you will need to get rid of the EGR system. If not you will need the plate for it. I bought my kit off a guy with a pre 01 car. So I have that plate if you are not going to get rid of the it. I dont know what it is worth but if you want it I will let it go for the $20 shipped. Here are the instructions to install the system. http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/...s/4gk218im.pdf

I will let you know if I need the plate. I am not sure exactly if it came with it or not. When you installed your vortec blower did you notice a huge difference with the aftercooler? I also have low compression heads, a blower cam, all the bolt ons, stall, headers, 12 bolt and etc. Do you have any idea what I may have for RWH? I just cant wait to have everything on and to put it on the dyno. Thanks Again

The intercooler is good for around 30 hp easy, definitely keep it.. You should be over 500 easy. If ya havent' driven something with that much hp, you're in for a treat, just be careful.
not sure if you're aware of this, but you're going to have to notch your hood for clearance.
you made a good choice in superchargers, get pics up when she's done and ready.
