LS1 Blower question, n00b here

Default LS1 Blower question, n00b here

Hey guys, just came acrosss this ite today as I Was looking for some new stuff for my project. I'm planning on swapping a ls1 engine I have into a 95 chevy s10 baja truck, planning on 14" travel suspension up front and about 25"s out back. I got really intrested in swapping over to a carburator when I saw in a magazine what kinda #'s they were putting out, I believe with a holly 750cfm carb heads and a cam they were making a lil over 500 hp

They swapped out the intake manifold for a edelbrock set up. Well I was thinking what would be kick *** is to have a nice blower sticking liek half way out the top of my hood. Does anyone know if a weiland or any other's blower will fit on a ls1 or will it not work?

I'm thinking no but just asking you guys, seems other people would have jsut swapped any intake minfold on there if it was possible and didnt have to wait fro someone to make a kit to do it.

Fuel injection is always the way to go. It's perfect. You don't mess with something thats perfect.

Never downgrade to a carb. Apples to apples, fuel injection will always make more power.

Agree with above comments, but there has been publicity lately about carb swaps. Street Rodder has a spread about carb swaps done by Hardcore. LSx does make a good carb'd engine.

Bottom line, not everyone has the same interests and the LSx is pretty versatile. fuel injection is light years ahead for power production but an all aluminum small block with carb(s) can be great for applications requiring simplicity (power adders are NOT simple applications!).

Id never consider carbs for a power adder LSx, tho, carbs do take you in the wrong direction. precision fuel metering requires injection.
