Default Turbo Fabbing...

Well here is a setup im thinking about fabbing up on my car. Im going to pretty much clone the ptk with the exception of the headers. I want to use a set of shorties that are 1 5/8 in primarys(are they large enough?). The plan is off the passenger side header run a cross over to the driversside, dump the drivers side into the crossover where it will run into the turbo mounted by the radiator. The question is will these headers flow enough air? Then routing the down pipe back to the car is another challenge. Im assuming that most kits run the down pipe under the k member of the car?

Well here is a pic i drew up in like 5 secs lol. Any input would be nice.

Thanks.

This is a lt1 car btw.

looks exactly like the Phamspeed kit....yes they'll work...theres people making 1000rwhp+ on truck headers.but stock headers will work fine, but yes thats the basic drawing of what it would look like, and they run under the K member

Like I mentioned on cz28, If you try and route the DP over the k-member on the driver’s side, you’ll probably run out of room. This will probably force you to run the DP under the k-member like the phamspeed kit.

Ya I wonder how much ground clearence i will lose. I will just have to figure something out I guess. Im glad to hear the pacesetter shorties will work so i dont have to hack up high dollar headers.

Real quick wonder if they would ler me order two pass side headers lol.

Do you have the headers already? If not *** that in... You can buy that turbo of turbosmustangs or tubobuicks much cheaper if your willing to buy used. I bought a PTE76 Q trim with less than 1000miles on it for $950 and just picked a PTE74 Q trim for my boss' 67 camaro for $825 (fresh rebuild 15 quarter mile passes ago).

I dont know if SLP will let you order to pass. header. I would call and ask. I bought mine from a cz28 board member.
