fmic painted?

any one tried this? when i get a real fmic id think about doing this (tti street kit's fmic isnt noticable anyway). oh yes, radiator paint was used on this.

I think it's a great way to hide it a bit more, though not like someone won't here the blower or turbo. Its a different look from all the alum. FMICs.

Would be interesting to see how it effects the heat transfer, maybe raising the IAT a couple degrees or not. Looks good though.

I doubt it would rase it that much, just as long as you keep it to a thin coating. Anything more than that and it will probably affect cooling.

You would be surprised how much painting intercooler would destroy thermal transfer coefficient. If you want to hide it, get it anodized as the coating is very thin (usually 0.001 inch).
