is it just me or are the blower guys making better times with less rwhp

Although some think that airplane noise sounds good.... I guess it does, but just not as good as an angry v8 to me.

with the set up u have with the car i think a 10 psi sts turbo would be great.
You get full boost around 3 to 4,000 and you can stall that and take off with full boost. Plus with those 4.10 you'd be a rockket ship. Plus the sts kit sounds great. just like a jet plane. I am not an expert on the kit this is just what i have heard from different people all over. booost rules

My car picked up 12mph at very close to the same boost level, going from a non intercooled supercharger to an intercooled turbo.
Also, the car is at least 150# heavier with the turbo.
(relevant changes were made, gear, camshaft, etc, but the motor was the same)

I have seen a lot of turbo cars that will turn the **** out of the dyno, but for some reason they just don't get down the track or even MPH very well. I think part of it is the fact that a turbo car can lose MPH with tire spin, but a blower car can gain mph with tire spin.
The turbo needs the hook in order to load and make boost. The blower car will have boost anyhow, and the increase in wheel speed when spinning can help the car MPH better.
I have a turbo car now, so I'm expecting a bit of a learning curve. The only thing I changed really was the cam and went from a blower to a turbo, so I'll let you know how it runs compared to the blower.

I recently west faster:
9.61@144.67
1.49
Transbrake launch
28x10.5x15 slick
Vortech YSi, 8 rib
Griffin FMIC
3.50 gear
T400 standard gearing
TCT 9" converter
754rwhp best, but 680rwhp on last dyno pull
3450 raceweight
18-21 psi
348ci engine
C16 Gas
I spun 10 ft so I'm expecting to go 9.4's or better with the lil' old 348ci.
In the late fall if the car hasn't blown up I'll be attempting 9.25's but I have a ways to go.
I think turbos are actually faster, perhaps the only saving grace of a blower is that the power is not as brutal as a turbo so it might be easier to get it down the track.
