Default Vortech kit using SLP MAF?

I have a Vortech kit with aftercooler installed and would like to reuse my SLP MAF that I had on the car before the install. I'm just wondering what some of you have done to use the SLP MAF since it's a larger diameter then stock and will not allow you to use the stock <Looks like dryer duct hose to me> hose coming off the air lid or use the couplers. Any Help, hints or feedback would be appreciated!
Thanks!

I ran into the same problem with my 85mm maf, but I have an ATI setup. The ATI supplied hose between the air plenum and the maf would not fit-so I had to use a 3.5 to 4.0 coupler instead. You could try splicing a 3.5 to 4 inch coupler into that 'dryer' hose so it would fit your maf.
About the slp maf, it will make you run lean. I removed the resistor in mine and loaded a truck maf table-it helped to clear up some part throttle knock.

Well I don't think it will help you at all for the trouble it will be to get it to look right JMO.I just have the billet MAF ends and looks great and works fine caused it to run leaner so had to be tunned for it thought. Good luck! I'd just sell the MAF and buy something else to net some better results.

Ok, I understand you there but my next question is about the limitations of the stock MAF. I don't know much about these things but I hear people talking about 1 bar and 2 bar MAF's and that the stock is a 1 bar and will limit how much you can go up in boost/airflow and at some point you would need a 2 bar. At what point does this become a problem? My goals are going to be around 550-600 RWH when completed.

Im running more than my sig, which was on a mustang dyno, and i have no issues. I got knock after the tune and upped the octane and it went away, but feels alot stronger. Also i was told by 4 or 5 top tuners on the phone when i was looking around for a tuner, that you dont want to use an aftermarket maf with FI, or it will mess you up and be hard to tune, they said they never use them. Everyone i called said the same thing. So i sold mine.
