What are the fastest STS times out there?
I'm looking at doing a custom STS setup and I was curious as to what are the fastest times in the 1/4 mile?

One look at my ET and my MPH should clue you in on if i'm auto or stick The words "domestic supra" come to mind.
I'm 6spd cutting 2.0 60's all the time. At least i'm consistant even if they are not good launches. I still have a stock rear end and wanna keep it that way for now
P.S. i'm running a greddy profec B spec II controller now as well. I pulled it off my supra to use on the camaro I also pulled the t76 off the supra too, gonna try it on the camaro again with a .68 housing since the .81 housing was too big to spool good.

I had a feeling you were a 6 spd, but can't assume anything. Have you thought about getting a 2 step? Although, I guess the rear end would have to come first! Are you cutting the 2.0 times on street tires?

yes, street tires, nitto drag radials and now ET streets (i'm afraid to dump the clutch from 6k to get a good 60').
ET streets would make a much better street tire if the height difference didn't screw up the ABS. I need to get taller front tires if I wanna keep running the et streets. 90% of my runs are done from a roll anyways.
Vegas roads are about as grippy as east coast roads when they are wet. On some of them I can spin the ET streets from a 70 mph roll! Nittos from 100! Yes i'm quite serious about spinning at those speeds. Luckily there are some roads that hook well.

STS sounds like a good way to go. This is in my 78 Monza with a 98 LS1. I'm going to be going STS next year. My car weighed 3000 with me and the old iron smallblock in it. I'd like to do cam, heads and the STS. Hopefully I could get into the 11's. Thanks for the replies.

(Sorry, I did not mean to hijack the thread!)

People think i'm bs'ing them when I tell them I can break nitto drag radials loose from a 70 mph roll. I've since switched to 17" ET streets for my daily driving tire. Been running them at 16-18 psi on the street with good results so far. 750 miles and counting.
