The heat issue with the Maggie has been fixed for several months through new tuning and modified fueling. Any Maggie kit for the GTO that you get now incorporates the fixes (and that is why I've got one in the mail).

You also don't need a new hood for the Maggie - some trimming of the stock heat shield and maybe a little of the inner hood layer is necessary but a new hood isn't.

See here’s where I get a little worried. lowering the engine is effecting the angle of the drive train, which is therefore altering the angle of the driveshaft relative to the transmission, which may cause problems with clearances of several things such as exhaust and suspension (not saying it will, I’m just not sure if there was an intention for the driveshaft to be angled in that way.) you can keep the entire drive train the way it is, but then you would have to use the rear axle as a sort of pivot, and fabricate new mounts for the rear shocks and springs etc. again, I’m not saying I’m sure this will cause problems, I’m just saying that altering the factory specs may cause more problems than you think. Either way, you would have a different angle for the transmission, which could require custom work on the transmission tunnel. Just thought id throw that out there. What do you guys think?

Well the Stenod team have lowered the engine on Harlans TT hawk and their current project car. I dont remember if they used solid mounts or custom kmember, i dont know what else was done if any to the drive train. Maybe they can chime in and explain in more detail.

They had a plate running on the front instead of standard motor mounts.

i would love to see someone find a way to work this out. but it seems it has been tried by another company (the one pro stock john was working with) and the best result they came up with wa cutting the cowl and supplying a "patch" with the kit to clean up the cut area. the power would be awesome though

The mod list for Harlan's car goes on and on. He's changing stuff now, but he had twin t-66 turbo's, I think twin MAF's, billingsley fab 9", dry sumped, Auto tranny with trans brake and full manual valve body, stock cubes, stock crank, livernois heads (i believe), solid roller cam (don't know specs)....
