Aussie's took the record back!!
I was wondering how it is called a LSx motor IF it isnt aluminum. I thought it had to be a aluminum block adn heads to be a LS1-2-6-7. I sure hope you guys bring that title back to the good ole USofA. GL

I think it's just the "misnomer" for the GEN III architecture now. Obviously, LS1 is the RPO # for the original GEN III engine, and like the LT1 people kinda get used to saying "got a vette motor in there?" Right or wrong, it's the lingo of these machines.

Todd, This engine is using a one off rocker. The rockers on my Lisa Marie engine thats in Casper would not "bolt" to any other head.
Our normal turbo rocker is not what you would buy from Jesel. Our turbo rockers are Jesel made to our specs to run the high boost. Our next rocker system is done and will be on Dave Underwoods car although to take full advantage of there ability's you need a different crank wheel to exceed 8900rpm. The crank wheel does exist, and has been tested to 10,000 rpm for signal.
The LS1 term is a slang name for a gen3 engine. Our block is also iron. These "records" are so hard to figure out. Sometimes people get a little to picky I think. We are just trying to be the "fastest" just like the Aussie's.

So the tranny will be ready in a couple weeks? I know of a certain track rental in Kentucky on Aug 6, the track prep will be excellent. Perfect time and place for Casper to run a couple 6.xx passes and get the record back!!

It does not look good for Dave's car to make BG. It needs a couple more things than we had planned on and the paint took a little longer than we anticipated.
The Casper car will not be there. I may come down and watch you guys go at it.
The trans in Casper went a little smoother than we thought it would. It has a trans in it and fresh head gaskets now, so sometime next week is possible.

Hypa Racing recorded a 7.009@ 197 mph
They have achieved a 207.56 mph pass since then but not bettered the 7.009 I believe.

Wow, this is an old thread. Brings back good memories of trying to run the first 6. I am blowing the cobwebs off the Casper engine and using some of the parts for the next engine, it will be bigger and more powerful I hope!

Yes this is an old thread but the Ozi car still exist, new owner but same speed shop.
It has had a color change and is now running an alloy block with a powerglide.
It should be back on the track in the next month or so, i will keep you posted.
