Matt,
I would really not listen to the people that knock this system, the kit works very well, I Own one personally. The fact is people are afraid of change and anything new is going to be shunned, its human nature. The kits spool fast and make great power. My kit made 450+ with only 6 psi, on a stock engine with only a cam.

Why do you say that? My 2000SS has literally noting more than a cam and the turbo and I am making 454RWHP with only 6psi. I could make 500+with one pound more! It also spools up fast and has full boost by 3000RPM. I will also be making about 600+ VERY soon, all I need is time on my dyno to tune it for the 9-10psi.

You are talking out your butt. 500 rwhp isn't exactly hard to get with a rear mounted setup. I did it on 10-11 psi and run 13-14 psi at the track on a stock motor. I trap 124-126 mph. The key is the tune.

The STS kit sure doesn't seem daily driver friendly. Just out of curiousity, why aren't there any big boys running rear mount kits? I'm talking guys who run 200mph.

I have the STS kit, no complaints except the fact that it didnt come out any sooner!.

I'd buy it again. stock 6psi is more than enough to beat the avg streetcar, If you want a race setup, then buy a race setup.

I'm confused. I didn't really think 200mph big boys, and daily drivers had much in common anyhow.

My main concern about the kit is I live in Florida. It rains A LOT in Florida. That rear intake seems a bit low to me.

Mattism78, I am West Palm, and I have one bit of info on the intake. Make sure you treat the sock with some sort of waterproofing stuff. I got some spray stuff to treat it with. I had an issue with water getting in, but I had the sock on for a year and never even looked at that sock. When I pulled it off, I could pour water right through it. I treated it, and it will actually hold water now. Anyway, I'm not that far from you if you want to meet up and you can see the kit in person. I love the kit. I'm currently running 6 psi, and I'm doing a lot of tuning right now, but getting closer everyday.

I was just wondering if there can be any more excuses in one thread?

With a cam and a 100 shot most cars make over 450rwhp...FWIW...

Im a fan of FI just not STS style kits because of the design. Fast race cars simply dont run STS kits.

For 13-14psi and those traps that sounds very WEAK! What does your car weigh? 4000+??

...lol, I "had" one... don't anymore... It's a good starter kit for someone inexperienced that wants to keep their accessories, keep in mind this can be done with other kits. This Phamspeed manifold kit I'm running now is really impressive, I got one before they stopped making them, you don't have to make any sacrifices with it either. There is some slight fabrication required on the cold side but otherwise it's straight-forward. I guess my way of blabbering is me trying to say there are other options to keep your accessories.
