We make custom intercoolers. As an example, a 24x3.5x10 core with custom sheet metal tanks will be about $500

is the 12x7x10 the core size or assembly size.
id sugest designing to together to work with your system, sizing is very important.
you want it to work with the pressure levels and airflow levels.
i needed at least 100 cubic inches of surface area for my long term goals.

That's a very small core, what is it for? I'm pretty sure I can get that size core but I will have to check with my supplier. Give us a call and I can get you a price on that after I get more details. Myguess is anywhere from $300 to $400

Do most intercoolers have steel (sheet metal) tanks? I always thought most intercoolers were all aluminum?

Ask for John. That is for the core and endtanks, as a complete intercooler

Our intercoolers have sheet metal endtanks. We can also have the endtanks cast but you must order 10+

you'll probably find a 12x6x10 core pretty easy, the 7" is odd.

that's a decent sized a2w

I'd expect in the $300 to $400 range just for the core however. Then add the material, fittings, inlet/out nubs, weld time(4 endtanks remember). I'd wager close to $800/$1k complete on something that size. Aluminum ain't cheap these days, and having built a few coolers in the last few years, i'd expect a solid day start to finish worth of shop time.

You'd be stealing something like that for $400 complete

I did not see the a2w, I thought you needed an a2a. Either way, call us for a quote, we can make a2w as well and have done so in the past

if it was $400 id be like ....DANG!.....

where you planning on putting this.

if you could fit mine some where id sell it to you at a desent price, so i could remake one to fit where i need to put it, in the old battery location spot, as its about 2" to big for me.

smokin,
send me the pics of where you had your intercoolers mounted, what makes it too big to fit there, the size sound right, but with the addition of all the end tanks and such it may bee to big.

I can always mount it somewhere else.

let me see the pics of the cores, or if youve started the intercooler I may just buy the whole thing from ya, let me see what ever pics you have
thanks

ok ill try to get pics soon.
the reason it wont fit is the water caps make it bigger then i need it to be. it cant fit in the frame rail to the fender, unless i cut the frame rail which i dont want to do. I already cut out the battery pocket to put it there.

im at the point where i need to leak check it, then i need to weld on the water caps, and water fittings.
its gonna suck to start all over on it if it dont fit for me
