Default P-1SC 7psi procharger

I need more ooomf from the vette but I do not wish to go inside the motor (except for springs if needed)

Would a Procharger net me 100>125 additional rwhp?

Is it a good complete system with relative ease to install?

I looked at the Magnacharger, but it is a real pain.
Cooments especialy from those who did the Procharger on a vette is highly appreciated.

from what ive seen a Mangnacharger is fairly straightfoward to install....at least you actually have that option where the F-bod's dont.why not check out the FI list stickys.

Most kits I see are D-1SC, I just want a plane Jane P-1SC 7psi (non polished). Cheapest i found was $$5640.00

This is not for a race setup, just for my DD Vette. We have 98 Octane prmium so IC is not really needed at that boost level (I think the kits come with one anyways)

BTW, is it advisable to run stiffer springs like 918's?
and for plugs, TR6 gapped .038 ?

This is going on a completly stock 03 Vette A4.

I would PM slowhawk if you have any P1SC on a vette questions...he's put up some killer numbers. Also, Tbyrne tends to run procharger specials...they claim the prices are too low to advertise. From my experience when they say that they are giving a good deal. I also wouldn't count the Magnusson out just yet. It'll get you the extra 100 rwhp you are looking for, and more torque at 2K rpm than you will know what to do with. If you've got any maggie questions i'd PM blownchevy.

Thank guys,
I wish Procharger had a write up like Magnuson about install so I can compare the 2.
I think a centrifugal would be easy to put on and off.
Problem is when I go to the Police for registration, they do not allow SC's, so once a year, it has to come off.

i think you should get that book off Ebay called something like "How to build high performance/hp ls1/ls6's" it has a section in it where they installed a Magnacharger on a truck...the install was easy as hell and it got a very nice boost in power.plus it would be easier on a Vette with the way the hood is.

On a Vette you need an aftermarket hood, and you need to remove the steering rack to access the crank pulley to be pinned. I read the install a couple of times, it is by no means easy.

The question you have to ask yourself is if you want power everywhere (magnusson) or a top end oriented combo (procharger). 400 rwtq at 2500 rpm would be nice, and you aren't going to get that with the procharger.

predator-z,

talk to andy at a&a corvette because he now has a stock convertable vette (aside from long tubes) daily driver that he slapped on the p-1sc kit.

he sold his big cubed c6 for the vert.

I strongly agree! He has the C5 P1SC kit with his custom bracket, FMIC and everything you need for the install for $4995... you won't find a better kit for the money!!!

BTW, it will make over 600 rwhp on a stock Z06 with headers.
