Steve is right. I had Kurt talk to Precision and they could build me a turbo that would fit the rules and make the power I am at now. But I could not justify the money it was going to take.
Steve also explained fairly well why the car is so heavy. It has more plumbing than most houses.
5 gal. ice water tank in the back, A2W intercooler in front with heat exchanger. With 3/4" line connecting them equals a lot of water and weight. Scavange pump and lines. Oil accumulator and lines. 5" exhaust to a foot past the starter into a 5" cutout necking down to a 3" catback. But I can still take my T-tops off and put them in the back. Drive down the highway at 80mph, and listen to the radio. All while sitting comfortably in my leather seat. But most importantly it will lay the smack down on almost anything on the street.
Cable, the 60' will only get better. The track I was running at sucks and was spinning thru 1st. and barely bringing the tires up. I just got to find the sweet spot between leaving hard and dragging the bumper.
SOM, The CE will always be a second slower than the Formula. So when I go an 8...
