Default my 2 step wasteful thoughts

just my random thoughts

Working on my 60's...best is a 1.54 and trying to find a way to get this pig moving without a t-brake. I tried the hydroboost brake system.....it gave me more brake pressure via the power steering pump. Did hold maybe 200rpms more but was SLOOOOOWWW to release fully. car would roll 10' before the brake pedal got back to the top to hit the brake switch and deactivate the 2 step. So today i put vacuum brake booster back in. I watched how fast the stock setup returns and noticed it took maybe .5-.75 seconds to get back to the top and trip the brake switch. HMMMM i am thinking. Maybe at the track, the car is rolling 5 feet before it actually comes off the 2 step. So this weekend I am going to try it on a button. I dunno if i will actually gain anything but even .05 in the 60' would be an awesome gain to me. I also have a abs delete kit from SMJ coming. With the adjustable proportioning valve, i should be able to get 50% of the pressure to the back instead of the factory 30%. This might help me hold more rpms on the 2 step and launch a little harder. I am sure most of you are thinking but maybe it will work!! I'll post the results.

A hand held switch would deffinately be faster. We use the switch that comes with the Hurst Roll Control. Very fast. I have about 18" of the wire that comes out of the center console. The switch has a rubber sleave on it thats is supposed to slide over a shifter lever. But I took a lip tie and put it thru the side of it. Making a loop. I then take this and slide it over the end of the E-brake handle. Works great. When not in use I slide it off and put it in the console. Street car you know.
