fuel pump help, is it enough.
We are running a 408, twin turbo on 9 lbs of boost, fuel pressure is at 63 psi, and 96 lb per hour injectors, under full boost, the fuel pressure drops only 3 psi to 60 psi and stays there, we haven't done anything to the pump, no changing it out, but the last owner could have since it was being built for a turbo car when it came to us. We started out with no boost, and the pump didn't even blink, so we went to 3 psi and tuned it for that, still no problem, so we went to 9 psi and can still run 11:1 afr at a hole 25 % injector duty cycle, somewhere around five and a quarter horse.
We are just trying to figure out if a 255 lph would be enough to keep up with this or if we should expect a larger pump if we rip into the tank. of course that is not needed for a while, who knows, mabey 15 psi? lol,
Only proplem is the 315's that we have on the rear just don't hold up, at all, instant wheel spin.
