of course you could make one for cheaper..but it wouldn't get done at al fast. and if your not actually making the pipes...there is gonna be a lot of trial and error to see what fits...which will cost a lot in labor. when you pay 4k...you pay for the convience of being pretty much able to bolt it right up.
It looks and sounds easy to build, trust me... unless you have mad welding skills and electrical knowledge for the oil pumps, selonoids, pressure sensors, alarm buzzer and boost reference to turn up oil pump speeds...its gonna be hard. I know it looks easy.. but a properly operating kit is really the way to go if you choose a rearmount .
