Congratulations Kurt and crew, 200+ is an amazing accomplishment for the parts you are using.

The car won't be in Orlando, but the Monte Carlo might.
There is a in car video of the 201 run. It will be on our website soon. It will even show the car stopping in the sandtrap! Give's the "out the windshield view" of a 1/4 pass in 7 seconds.
INTMD8, the parts holding up amaze me also! We are getting 40-42 psi in the cooling system in the top of first, then it levels off at 35-37 until he lifts.

Congrats, that's simply awesome!

I was going to ask how in the world you're keeping the heads down, but by the sound of your cooling system pressures it doesn't sound like you are keeping them down. I assume the cooling system is seeing the boost from the heads lifting?

If you guys don't mind me asking, what have you done to address the lifting of the heads under these huge boost levels?

Again, congrats!

Are you referring to me? If so I have no clue what you're talking about, nor do I know who John Meaney is.

Well, Todd didn't say "Wet 1?" he said "Time Machine?". Another user that posted in this thread. Hell, I thought any EFI guy would know who John Meaney is. He wrote Speed-Pro (F.A.S.T) and Big Stuff 3.

Probaly greatly oversized diameter ARP head studs..

Things like 40+ psi cooling system pressure are why I am looking at a REALLY FULL o-ring job.. Kind of the budget version of some work M-Moran and J-Meany did.. O-rings around the bore and combustion chamber and O-rings around every oil and coolant port. I cant afford the nitrogen filled hollow fire rings or WTF they were but the theory still applies.. Just used with what will probably be a more affordable dead soft copper head gasket..

Without gaskets, I can pull the engine apart quickly, service it and get it back together without worrying about whether the gasket surfaces were cleaned off and siliconed properly to seal the engine back up." Moran has his machinist create a CNC program for each O-ring, so replicating the grooves on customer engines can be done quickly and efficiently

John Meaney's C4 'vette is called "The Time Machine" and he is good friends with Kurt, so he might just be lurking aorund in here. Yes, John developed BS3 with his brothers.

Interesting tidbit here, the name Big Stuff 3 is derived from John nickname "Big". It is his third time around developing an EFI system, thus "Big Stuff 3"....ever wonder where they come up with the names for this stuff. Highly technical
