T70 vs. T76... when to use which one?

I am curious to the differences between the two besides the size obviously. Both seem to be pretty common LS1 turbos. I'd imagine that the T76 is capable of more power than the T70? Is the T70 a faster spooling turbo than the T76? Which one is more optimal for the street and which one for the strip? Thanks!

All depends on your goals my friend. A T70 will spool a little quicker then a T76 due to the fact of the smaller compressor wheel. The 76 will have more total flow though, due to the larger impeller. On a stock engine a T70 is more then enough to dust it and even a nice mild 650rwhp setup. BUT, if you are looking for 750-900rwhp, then a 76 is the only way to fly.

The T70's are seem to work really good on a stock cube motor. I have a nasty habbit of turning up the boost though and put my 76 on the stock motor. I run 15 psi on the street now. If you want to run less than 14-15 psi I suggest the t70, the 76 for more boost or a larger motor.
