taping turbos for boost nipple
taping turbos for boost nipple my Master Power T-70's have no provisions for hooking up to the wastegate. should i find a way to get a hose nipple on the boost side tubing? or drill and tap the turbo housing for the fitting? if the latter, where do i tap it?
either is acceptable. I've seen housings tapped near the start of the scroll and near the end/outlet of the housing. Honestly i don't know if there's any pressure difference between the start and end of the scroll (ideally there shouldn't be) but you never know with moving air.
I tend to put it near the exit of the housing if possible.

R may be the precise bit size but 5/16 bit can be used in its place. We tap probably 1000 holes a month here at work...no problems and probably easier to find.
