Thinking of making some changes to my setup, tell me what you think
Z06 cam, I really want a stock like idle, better gas milage and more area under the curve. I'm pretty sure this cam will give me what I want. It should allow me to spool up faster.
Swap to a 9 psi WG spring since the 6 psi one is just weak sauce for anything over 10 psi.
Put my LQ9 heads on the car

Cometic .074 gaskets, this in addition to the 6.0 heads should get me around 9.0:1 compression.
What do you guys think? Low boost will then be 10 psi and High boost will be 15-16 psi
I'm thinking it will get me close to 700 rwhp. I'm very interested to see how long this motor will last at those power levels. I was going to start my 408 project soon, but decided i'm going to do the rearend first.Besides, at this point everyone who knows me allready thinks i'm crazy for making this much on a 73k mile stocker.
The other option is to just do a 370 motor since it's pretty cheap and sell the stock long block for $750 or so since it's still a good running motor.
I would build up the 370 block and boost the crap out of it.

Not to high jack the thread at all, but are you gonna be in town when SEMA goes down? I should have my car ready by then and would like to meet up and maybe get a couple races and cruises in...
