Is that the brace I see going to the front of the block? Any worries that it'll break the block in those areas...or not a worry at all?
Man its going to be one sick ride...like always until he gets an itch to change it again
More pics of the brace please, I know my headers are living on borrowed time with the 45lb GT42 hanging off em.
Thanks,
Jeremy

The only thing that I wonder about is the Turbo being 1/4" away from the pulley. We hope it doesn't melt the rubber in the pulley

I haven't melted my balancer pulley yet, I have a turbonetics heatshield on the exhaust housing so that helps a lil i'd think, and I also coated it too. I want to get the better exhaust housing blanket Jose sells once I have the money for it.
I'll try and fab up a brace for my turbo as well, don't want the cracks to start forming, thanks for the great idea to where it should go

We are also doing an oil pump for the return after seeing alot of drain back problems but we will add a resister to slow down the pump so it lives longer
In the first pic, i've added in where I'll put the flex bellows on the passenger side crossover. I have a 3.0 flex bellows on the DP already. The exhaust is tucked up real nice and hasn't banged anything...only the damn passenger side crossover pipe has

I welded a tab on to the "catalytic" pipe right where GM has the hanger off the tranny I then drilled a hole through the tab and into the tranny bracket itself, put a bolt, lock washer and nut through to keep the exhaust bolted up to the tranny bracket and off the BMR T/A mount. I'll have to get pics of that as its not in these pics. Real slick as I can go open DP by taking off the catback strap clamp, a strap clamp off the DP and taking out the bolt to the tranny bracket...literally 10-15min of work at the track....when I get there

How long did it take to cut out the front brace to move the fans? Did you weld or bolt in the new cross piece?
