Question G5X3 with D1SC? Opinions needed....

I am currently running a G5X3 114 lsa cam, and stock heads with all of the bolt ons, minus a pulley. I was considering buying a D1SC kit for a really good price. My question is......I know this isnt the best cam for an FI setup, but is it still possible to run this setup? Ive heard about the overlap issue. Maybe it woudnt make "as much" power, but would it still be a worthwhile endeavour? Im really not interested in doing another cam swap, since this is the second one Ive done already. I know that there are more "blower friendly" cams out there, but what would be the pros and cons of running this type of setup? Would it be stupid to do so, or should I just spend the money on a 12 bolt, and a set of good heads? Its just that Ive always wanted a blown car. Any and all opinions are welcome. The sooner the better, b/c I dont want this D1SC kit to get sold right away. Thanks in advance!

that looked awesome. 629! I was just wondering if having such a cam would not show any real gains with a Procharger system, due to the "overlap" issue Ive heard about from time to time. Im now guessing that even if it wouldnt be as great as a "blower cam" that it would still show some wild gains. That thing looked rather wicked! Thanks!

I already did that. That sounded really good! I loved the sound of the blower up front, and the rumble of the cam out back. Best of both worlds in my opinion!

it's not the best cam for FI, but it's well within limits for nice numbers.

just make sure you have a good tuner and all the safety gear.
