Default STS KIT Routing IDEA

anyone ever think of running a 2 1/4" pipe up around the inner wheel well?

instead of up and over the rear axle and under the lower control arm

It coudl eliminate the pipe under the lower control arm.

and some of the issues that people have with this kit

I wish I had access to a pipe bender to give this a try

A couple of vendors do that on the vette system. You still run into issues when lowered with wheel rubbing but depending on how you ran the piping it could work on an f-body I think

Cheers,
Chris

I will have to take a look at what your talking about.

Can't envision it from my desk.

You have any pics of what your thinking about?

You might think about just running a pipe through the hood, over the top of the car, around the back bumper, and back under to the turbo. It shouldn't add much more than a foot or two of piping (not a concern anyway with the STS kit) and will certainly take care of the ground clearance issues. You might have to go across the rear 1/4 pannel to avoid hatch clearance problems, but that shouldn't be much of a problem. It might have a slight Mad Max look to it, but who cares?

Sorry guys.

blackbird, his idea he is referring to is just how the actual STS twin turbo corvette system is designed. go on the sts website, you'll see pictures of it.
