head gasket problems w/ a super charger ???

Default head gasket problems w/ a super charger ???

do you guys have problems pushing out stock head gaskets, when you run as s/c on the ls1 ??

Most poeple on here well myself and some others run the GM MLS. With the correct ARP head studs.

i was hoping the stockers would hold up if i bolt on a procharger..if i have to pull the heads i will go with a head and cam pkg....

I ran 10 psi and broke a piston before the head gasket blew. That was at about 10k miles with the blower on.

well this kinda changes my mind..i have had no luck with s/c and head gaskets...but i have never tried a ls1...

I installed a ATI ProCharger D-1SC onto my '99 Z28 when the engine had 110,000 miles on it. Drove it that way for several years, then we upped the boost from 7 psi up to 15 psi, (just for the hell of it) still on stock worn internals. Many dyno runs and race tracks later, I finally cracked the #7 piston, but never had a head gasket problem. Bob

Running a Maggie with 5#s of boost on a stock head setup. Getting ready to drop the pulley a size and add meth injection.....To the car, in case it wasn't clear

Ya headgasket is the last thing that will go. The pistons are weak. The can withstand ALOT of power but they cant take any detonation and that is what kills the pistons and head gaskets. GL man
