25000 for what? An engine? Are you nuts? That's what most people pay for a forged engine, their FI kit, + supporting mods. I don't know who told you 25000 but ok.

A former shop walked away with a lot of that......That's why it's a big waste... In actual parts and some labor, not including the original price of the car, I think I am around 60K. Plus I bought a lot of stuff twice since I changed goals midstream (bought 12-bolt then bought 9 inch, bought supercharger stuff then went turbo, bought a lot of mild suspension parts and then went custom, etc... - I really should have planned this out better from the beginning...)

Including everything that I've done between the motor, suspension, fuel, turbo kit, appearance, etc etc....I'm probably more towards 20k I guess, not 25....Who knows.

Probably somewhere around $20K not including the cost of the car. A chunk of that was the money I lost on my D-1SC when I sold it one year after I purchased it when I decided to go with twin turbos.

It adds up quick. $10K for a TT kit + heads, cam, meth, fuel pump, boost controller, injectors, etc, etc, etc + 3K for driveline upgrades.

This started as a $5-6K project. lol

Well I stopped counting after I hit 14,000. It was just making me sick!! Considering that I am doing this as a fix of my last problem. I just got done completly restoring/rebuilding the intire car and it only ran for a few months. So now I am putting this in and im not even done yet!! Oh well, Definate suggestion is to just do it and not count the money! You will be happy with what you get but wont really know how much you have just blown away! HA

I have about 12K in mods to date... 431/497 are my numbers. What you dont see in the numbers is that I have tried to build everything right.... My drivetrain is or soon will be bulletproof, all suspension upgrades... etc.

I think when all said and done I will have over 600RWHP and 16-17K in mods....

Labor. And he was maybe a little screwed by MMS? Dunno.

I know that a full FI combo built elsewhere and tuned (like a turbo set up + motor + fuel system + misc. parts) can EASILY be 30k. Take say, 2 years worth of hassle, labor, and maybe a few changed combo's...plus the car...it could be that much. I'd like to see S.Sanders's bill from TCI/MTI/FMS. 2+ years down, 11k+ just on the heads and maybe the intake, totally custom installed FAST system, etc, etc.

I don't care how much my **** costs, its my antidepressant drug, when i'm down i open to the garage door and fire the ****** up, suddenly all my problems disappear.

its like any serious hobby, the more you're into it the more you spend.

i have no regrets whatsoever on the upgrades I've done so far and I'm not done yet!
