Default STS (F-bod)guys, What kind of ETs are you seeing?

TSIA, if your STS setup varies from the base kit (upgraded turbo, FMIC, etc) , or your mill isn't stock otherwise, please note as well. I guess MPH would be more relevant than ETs...

I have seen 2 or 3 scattered ET postings, but it would be nice to get a larger perspective.

Over the last month I have changed my mind about FI setups like 34,342,389,078 times (PS/GZ, PTK, TTI, ATI, Vortech, etc)... I think I just need some perspective. I could honestly care less about RWHP, I want mids 10s (M6) without dragging the ground @ stock height with a cam and bolt-ons for now...

Thanks alot.

If you had me behind the wheel i could easily get your car into the mid 10's with just an sts kit.

Last time at the track, I ran 12.2@116, this was at 6 psi. I am still tuning, and these runs were at about 10.2-10.5 afr. Also timing was set for 8 psi, so I may be able to run a bit more timing too. I figure once I get this all figured out, it should run mid to high 11's at 6 psi. Hope that helps.

NYSS GUY, what was your 60' looking like on that 116t MPH pass? Are you running the standard STS setup or a bigger turbo?

I'd like to wring about 9-10# out it on a stock bottom with FMIC and/or alc/meth...

Slowhawk, since I can't get you to constantly drive me around, and I see you are an STS dealer, how many of the units you setup on M6s are seeing mids 10s on pump gas?

Thanks for your time guys.

On a just installed STS 35thLE, I started tuning only made for runs ~ 5psi, no meth yet, no boost controller yet, and stock plugs, afr ratio on runs were: run 1 & 2 9.7:1 advance of 8* (yeah I went overkill); runs 3 & 4 10.6:1 advance of 12*
Netted a best of
2.18x 60'
13.2 @ 106

On a slippery track, obviously, and with some **** DA.
The car is STOCK then add STS, now add plugs & some tuning! Not even desrcreened MAF, ported TB nothing, sickening!

This is the base 60-1 turbo, and my 60' was in the 1.8x range. This is an M6, and launching off the 2 step at 4k rpm. The car bogged off the line, so I'm gonna try it next time at about 4400 rpm. I was running the car at 8 psi, but I was getting valve float at that level. If you want to run the higher boost, you may need to upgrade your valve springs.

I'm gonna be tossing in a cam at the same time and possibly heads, so the pushrods and springs will be covered. Thanks alot for the info.

Any other results still welcomed as well...

-edit-

MM if you're reading, I know you're biting your tongue, I'm just trying to be thorough with tha research.

Well I have a decent STS setup, and I share your goal... I want to get in the tens on pump gas.

I belive that I will be very close with my setup around 7-8PSI of boost. I am aiming for just over 500RWHP and I think that will be done without great difficulty. I will find out next week when I take it to the Dyno and have it tuned.

I've been 11.42@122 with a 1.69 60ft. I have a two step coming and plan to go back out. My transmission is hurt so I could get a pass last time out. Made 514@10psi with meth, no intercooler. I'm pretty confident it should go low 11's high 10's once I get it lined out.

Stock longblock, no springs etc..
Hooker Headers
Pro Torque converter
moser 12bolt
Turbo is the 67upgrade

Yea I am waiting for my 2Step too. I think my car will take a good dump at high RPM, I am hoping for a .6 or .7 60'.... I know that is hard with a M6 but I can hope

My drivetrain will support it... I have a 35 Spline 9" with locker and RAM HD. I would LOVE to make the high 10's... Do you have an A4 or M6?

Hey red91z long time no see man! Have a question about your STS muffler, I cant remember the brand of that short thing? Your slightly cut down after turbo pipe fit better than the other regular unit I aquired with the T-70.

I missed something here before... 10psi on stock valve springs? No float?
