Yes the #7 piston is the first one to go. On my Mustang Chassis Dyno with the eddy current option, 500 rwhp seems to be the upper limit to the stock piston's ringlands. That would be approx 540-550rwhp on a DynoJet.
8 psi with headers and a cat back will get you 440 to 450 rwhp with an ATI ProCharger, on my Mustang Chassis Dyno, giving you about a 50 rwhp cushion. Bob

To me, it is all in the tunning. I am running 11.5 PSI on stock LS1 and it runs great. To kick my rev limiter up, i need to buy some double valve springs and a new set of pushrods. After that, it will be a set of Patriot Heads and Cam, with a new D1SC at about 15PSI.
