Other things to check/verify this.
Is your coolant level low, particularly after making several WOT runs? If you are in the initial stages of a cracked or ruptured head gasket, it may take a LOT of hard driving to see actual lower coolant levels.
Take of the radiator cap and top the coolant off. Do you see bubbles stirring at the top?
White smoke (vapor burning off) when the car is not yet warmed up is normal. Vapor at ALL temps is coolant passing into the combustion chamber and burning off as steam and exiting the exhaust.

Black smoke is usually fuel related problems and blue smoke is usually oil related.
White is water/coolant related.
