Default E Bumper

Is it just me, or is that E Bumper a regular TA bumper with cut outs?? I like it, but I could do that myself with patience. I think I might

Ronnie Duke's TA (first LS1 in the 7s) has an ATI unit, and no alteration of the nose in any way. Their site is www.weracehardcore.com - I was having the same question as I have a formula and dont want to cut the grill either. how are they able to get the car in the 7s without an FMIC with a chopped nose?? I have been up late thinking on this all week!! ps they were featured in a recent hot rod mag with the nose up on the car.

have you seen there air to water set up, they have a BIG, no HUGE A2W IC sitting in the passenger seat, takes up that whole area.

for that kindof power an a2a just wont do youll need an a2w.

True, they have a a2w heat exchanger that is about the size of a small doghouse. Let's not leave out the fact that they also have about a 15 gallon fuel cell in the hatch area filled to the brim with ice. That is the true reason they use an a2w....with that much ice they can keep inlet temps very very very low for the entire pass even at stratospheric boost levels. This is good for one pass tho, and most ppl at this level have to drain the water system after each pass since all that ice is melted in one pass.

How about adding a plastic piece to the bottom of the FMIC, so that it diverts air up.... just like that small plastic piece under the radiator.

For track purposes you can use an Water/Alky IC sprayer.

to do that you would have to cut the bottom lip of your bumper (nothing that you can really see though)

the tti street kit puts it in front of the radiator and is diverted air by way of an air foil like you are talking about, but it doesnt cool very well, in the hot summer weather my IAT's were like 190*

also i think the 89 TTA's j hard the IC mounted in the engine bay with an air foil also

not very efficent
