Default Brackets for F1R Needed

I need brackets to install my F1R to my 2001 Firebird. I bought a kit used that was for a Vette. Any advice?

If you want to sell bracket I may be interested. Is it A&A bracket?

the F1-r uses the same braket as the D1-sc and the f-1 blowers,. so just look for a regular f-body bracket and you'll be fine.

if you ask me, just get a steel bracket from sdce (sponsor) and buy the tensioner kit from him as well, its money well spent.

I sent SDCE an e-mail about pulleys and mounting brackets, but no response yet.

Sorry for the delay. I believe it is an A&A bracket. I have no idea what to sell it for, but if someone can get me a F-body bracket I will think about trading.

Was this kit with liquid-to-air intercooler? If so I may know the kit.

Yes it came with an air-to-water intercooler. I am wanting to use it too. It may take some new IC pipes but that depends on the bracket and head unit orientation.

The unit I think you purchased is a custom C5 kit. It came with F1R (reverse rotation or CCW) ATI. The bracket is 6-rib A&A bracket designed for corvette with laid down or lowered radiator. Supercharger inlet faces forward and discharge is designed to pass under radiator support to front mounted liquid-to-air intercooler. You should have a surge tank that is designed to mount in corvette rear well.

Adapting to F body may be tricky, I think mounting bracket will be first problem followed by IC plumbing.

Good luck,
Mike

Well, I have no idea what rotation the F1R is. I am in Germany while the kit is still in Indianapolis. I was planning shipping the car with all the parts to here in Germany. I know there are other F1R F-bodys out there. I wish they would chime in as give there opinions on my situation. I would like to have the whole setup going here before this coming summer.

OK, I just looked at a pic of the kit. If the inlet is facing me, the rotation is CCW. On what side of the motor did this kit mount the supercharger on the Corvette? Why couldn't I do the same? I also looked at BigBos's pics of his F1R. His is a CCW rotation as well. The bracket looks very similar to the bracket I have. The only other difference is that the outlet is pointed in to the left instead of upwards. I'll attach the pics I have.

That is not a corvette kit or A&A bracket. The rotation is CCW when pointing forward, so you should be fine.

Install it, tune and have fun.

Oh, you have air-to-air IC not air-to-water.

No, the pics I post belong to another car. The pics I have are too big to post. I can send you the pics I have via e-mail if you want?
