Default turbo lag??

I think my t-76 takes too long to spool up. What affects lag time. I am running VERY rich down low. When this gets straightened out, should it help with turbo spool up? I'm wondering what kind of things I can do to help spool up time.

things to help spool up? how about a 25 sht of nitrous, hehehe.

as for the turbo lag problem, i guess this is what some people were talking about when they said the T-76 was too big for a stock motor. i bet part of your problem is in the running really rich down low. so in whole, programming has an affect on the performance of the turbo's. get that taken care of and see how it reacts then.

Lag has several meanings.

Lag in traffic, squeeze/punch it and how long does it take to make real boost....

Brake torque it at the line, how much boost can you get at zero MPH and how fast does it rise...

So the questions are these:
Which scenario?
A4/M6
Torque converter?? (A4)
Lean-ness helps, but you need to make power/heat to make spool; you need some fuel to make that heat/power.
Timing retard helps spool but kills torque so there is a balance to this.

A T76 is a BIG turbo by any measure, is it ball bearing?
