Default FFHP T76 single turbo Corvette Kit

Hey guys. just want to post some pictures of the single turbo kit we are coming out with for the corvette. we figured since no one has one that i know of why not try it and see what happens. i just wanted to get some feedback to see what you all like or dislike while we are in the development stage. Unlike the camaro, the corvette has many more space constraints to battle. the only thing that we can tell that some people may not like is we had to modify one hole on the A/C compressor in order to keep a 3 inch downpipe. i will post pictures of this modification a little later. we also moved the bottom radiator/air dam support forward about 4 inches for clearance of the turbo and charge pipe. the kit will come with a tial 50mm BOV and a Tial 46mm waste gate that will vent to the down pipe. we dont have this in the pictures but it will be right at the collector at the turbo.

the base kit will more than likely come with a .5 bar spring and a manual boost controller with an optional electric unit. the intercooler has a 24*12*3 core that will support 850 HP. the tubing will be mildsteel coated inside and out with the option of stainless steel. we hope to have the kit done in about two weeks and then we will start the testing on the track, street and dyno.

below are a few pictures of the kit. within the next week or two there will be more pictures with the coated pipes and the charge pipes.

thanks
brad

How would you change spark plugs? And is that duct tape holding the downpipe to the turbo?

you can get to the plugs from underneath the car. the down pipe will have to be moved to get to the one front plug but that is really easy to do. hell if you look at most turbo headers for these cars this set up seems easy. and that isnt just duct tape, it is high boost duct tape . it is supposed to be v banded but to my dismay fed ex didnt bring them to me today so i improvised.

Got that right. Can't wait to see it installed. The A/C compressor modifying is no big deal if you ask me. If i had a vette i wouldn't think twice about it.

it is supported by a hefty bracket that uses three grade 10 bolts that mount to the water pump. that turned out to be a very useful place to mount is. so far we have seen no problems with mounting it there. plus i forgot to mention that this kit is going to come with a 135 amp alternator that is smaller and located on the passenger side next to the throttle body. same as the PTK kit.

I'm happy to see someone developing a single turbo kit for the C5.

How similar with your kit be to the Cerra kit?

Any price estimate?

Search the corvetteforum.com , you'll find info on it.

You also might want to post this up over there. Not to many vette guys on this neck of the woods.

that is our next project. we designed the headers to work on an f body so r and d time will be a lot less on the f body than what it was on the vette. if everything works out okay most of the kit will be transferable. i will know in about one month.

Beautiful, that is awesome how you have the headers coming up to the top of the engine. That'd be an awesome design on an F body if someone could swing it.

think those headers may hit the strut towers in an Fbody.

very very very nice looking setup though.

they come fairly close. even if so i can modify these fairly easily to make them fit. since the coils will have to be relocated anyway i can just bring them in a little more. that is one thing i forgot as well. this kit will come with all nessecary hardware to relocate the coils.
