what size is that up-pipe/ y-merge. is that 3", it seems a git bit.
might gain some clearance if you switched to 2.5", heck there are guys making 1500hp with a 2.5" merge.

nice kit very inovative.
but ya id hate to change those spark plugs. Hopefully the downpipe is as easily removable as you said.
the all the hot pipe is 3 inch. the down pipe is 3 inch and the splits to twin 2 1/2 and routes to the stock exhaust. the 2 1/2 hot pipe is something we are going to try when we dyno the car. we may switch the pipes over and see what kind of spool and hp difference there will be. the spark plugs really arent that bad. the down pipe is very easily removable. the header primarys are 1 3/4 o.d and 1 5/8 i.d.

minor issue that has already been resolved. we are having a custom upper hose made that will not be affected by the heat.

This setup... while it looks like you will have to relocate many more items also is a much better design from a power producing standpoint.
you dont have to relocate many things at all. only the ALT. has to be moved and the radiator bottom moved forward about 4 inches.

Including a blanket with the turbo?

a turbo blanket will be included with the kit. we are trying to cut out as much heat as we possibly can.

I know those headers would come out right where the power steering pump is on an F-bod

How is this going to mate up to the existing stock exhaust? It would be really nice to somehow hook up to the stock locations.

Thanks

if you look at the second attachment, you'll see the down pipe, which i would imagine continuesd on to hook into the stock exhaust.

the down pipe goes down and splits into two 2 1/2 inch pipes and does connect to the stock locations.

And after the 2 stock locations it goes back into 1 pipe again? Wouldn't it be better to make a 3" pipe from the turbo all the way out the back with a bullet inbetween?

i doubt thats gonna fit on a vette, and the vettes have a "dual" exhaust stock anyway, so if you plan on running a catback you will need to use this setup.

Programming for the alternator?

I am pretty sure that if you swap out the alternator alot of things in the PCM need to be changed since the PCM monitors alt output and you need a specific unit for the C5. You'd lose alot of the PCM monitoring for voltage.

If it all fits I think its great.

I hope that didn't come off as an insult... The cerra turbo setup was very compact. It appeared less intrusive (probably not the best choice of words.. makes it sounds like I prefer it in some way, which is absolutely not the case).. whereas yours just seems "bigger" in all dimensions between the long seperate primaries and the routing of everything up top whereas the Cerra kit used a tiny restrictive poorly made log.
