Default 11.2:1 too much compression for boost?

currently I run a stock bore/stroke, 62cc head, .040" cometic and +.007" deck height giving me around 11.2:1 compression. Is there too much compression? Is my best bet to go w/ a .052-.060" gasket? I know that wiill shoot my quench to crap, but will that be a problem w/ forced induction?

Thanks
Dave

I would go larger chamber heads, 6.0L or ported variety, and keep the .040" for quench.

if i go w/ a different head, the stockers are going back on and ill be selling my TEA 1.5s. The FI should make up for the lack of a good flowing head.

Thats what a lot of ppl do, at least until they hit the max potential of the system and then upgrading begins again.

well currently i go 11.8@119. before heads/cam i went 12.2@113ish so its not a huge deal really. I still run stock exhaust and ls1 intake to boot. IM just debating if i wanna deal w/a power adder right now or just leave the car alone.
btw, my goal would be mid to low 10s

At the very least, I'd swap back to your other heads, and add an LS6 take off intake while you're at it. Bob

Ya that is definatly not boost friendly. But at teh same time it aitn bad if all ya wanna do is mid 10's. That would only require 8psi or so with the current power you make as a baseline. I think you will be ok but ya definatly need to make sure the tune is dead on.
I would sell the heads adn get a set of 6.0 truck heads and a GM metal head gasket adn you iwll be at 9.2-1 area. that is a nice starting point for FI. GL man
