Re: gear ratio for 9" I'd go with the 3.89 gear set. With a blower its important to get the RPMS up quickly and get in (and stay in) boost. With a 6600rpm rev limit you should have no prob going 125+mph.

Re: gear ratio for 9" If that was my car, I'd of course run 28" tall tires.
I'd run at least a 3.70 gear. I'd consider a 3.90 but it depends on how hardcore the setup will be.
I run 4.10's in my A4. It's a lot of gear.
