Default fluctuating fuel pressure

Man all the guys over at the corral are A-holes....so are their cars I was just hoping you could help my friend out real quick because noone replied to his post. He has a '98 gt only major power adder is a vortec s-trim S/C. His fuel pressure drops sometimes from 40 to 32. Even though its not our good ol' push rod, what could cause this and is it bad. I figure i ask here becaese this could probably happen to any of our cars.

yes its bad.. it should rise.. either his fuel pressure regulator is broken, or still stock..
replace with holley or kirban rising rate regulator.. this will raise the fuel pressure with boost.

if you dont, in time, it will fail from detonation..

its possible that kit has an fmu also.. if it does then that is also not working.. have it rebuilt/replaced

if that doesnt seem to work, then check your fuel pump.. i sure hope its not stock! replace with the walbro 255l (340) fuel pump.

my best friend has an incon 800 tt 5.0

I'm assuming the pressure is falling while under heavy load.

Falling pressure is often a sign of an insufficient fuel pump, or maybe a malfunctioning FMU if he has one
