I recall Jim spraying his with 12 on a very good tune. He worked his way up. If you're speaking of the LQ4 motor, it is lower compression so it can initially handle more.

but since the boost is compensating for compression wont the lq9 make more power?

Id say dont go over 8-9 psi i fu want it to last a while......... but hey its your $$$$$

8 to 10 pounds of boost with stock internals, with air/fuel in the 11.5 to 11.7/1 range. The #7 piston's ringland is the one you have to worry about on the LS. Bob

I would keep it under 10. If you bought a set of heads you could probably run a little more boost due to the increased flow.
