turbo and ported maf...Harlan?

Default turbo and ported maf...Harlan?

Harlan thinks my hitorque reading is due to the intake as a restriction. I am running the stock maf with screen. Do you think it would help any to use ported maf ends? I already have my maft set to 6% lean so this would get me back close to zero. I'll try it if you think it might help flow. I have a stock nonported TB as well as the ls1 intake

your restriction is not the MAF <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0">

it's ultimately the manifold, and somewhat the heads.

I saw a noticable change in airflow when i put on the new manifold, but it's time for me to go sheetmetal.

I personally wouldn't mess w/ the MAF. All you need is more timing w/ boost <img src="gr_eek2.gif" border="0">

What is happening is you're limited to the air you can force through up top, but you can show plenty in down low. So the low end torque comes up.

If you opened things up, the peak would move to where you'd expect it. as a result, HP peak moves and rises.

i hope to show this in the coming spring. Back to Back dynos w/ a manifold swap in between <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0">

Ok I will leave the Maf alone. I have 2 pcms...one with 16.5 total timing and the other with 24 deg. I think I'm going to try the 24 deg pcm first with 100 octane. Anyone know what resistor to use in the IAT sensor to knock the timing down a tick?
Oh BTW..thanks Harlan...for the time you've spent answering my questions you coulda tuned it all for me <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0">
