Default My Twins are finally up and running!!

Well, I am running! Pretty good too! I have yet to get it to the track and have only used 10 lbs of boost, but this thing is FAST! Last year all motor I was going 123 in the quarter. From my street blasts, I would say I am sitting at around the 130-135 mph range with 10 psi. That is my best guess with my butt-o-meter.

I am very impressed with the turbo setup and it is a very well thought out design. Being that this is only a street car, I am wondering if I should turn up the boost. I am sitting at abut 11:1-11.2:1 AFR with 17 degrees of timing.

That's bad ***! Those are great looking manifolds as well. Do you mind me asking who did the metal work?

Thanks for the compliment. I did ALL the work and designed the system myself. The headers are 321 stainless. I love the gold color they turned to when they got hot. In case you did',nt know it is in a 71 chevelle.

Very nice setup and great fabrication. May I ask, are you going to run an air inlet and filter on the inlet side of the compressors? A few small pieces of dirt, small stones, etc. will mess up those wheels quickly. I am thinking these are pre-run condition pictures but if not, just a friendly FYI.

I do not run A/C at the time. Maybe someday I will go with a vintage air unit. I left room to mount the ac pump, but I don't have it on.

Any advice from anyone before I turn up the boost to 14 psi, should I change timing or AFR?

Thanks for all the compliments!!

I also do not have a didital video camera. As far as dyno numbers. I am not to concerned. I'd rather get some strip numbers. I am sure it would make very good numbers at the dyno. I have a very efficient setup. I just need to make an air box. I just have screens now and am sucking hot air. My air temps are about 90-100 degrees!!
