Default Golden West Performance Stage II Aeromotive Pump Wiring Diagram and Instructions

I have a new link on my Web Page, http://www.mlbuie.com/transam/ . Because the question of wiring for the Aeromotive Pump comes up at times, I thought I'd take the time this morning (since I got another email about it) to give as much information as I could. You guys that have done this, double-check me. I also am not sure if the wire colors frm the Solenoid Switch were the same for all of you.

This is the text of it, and there is a diagram that helps visually:

(The following information is for your reference and provided from my memory and what I could recall by double-checking under the hood. Proper connection is your responsibility and you should call GWP if you are unsure of what youare doing. In other words, if something goes wrong, don't blame me. <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0"> )

1. Attach Grounding Tab(1) of Pump Solenoid Switch(2) (hereafter called PSS) to a Ground Source(3) under the hood. (There is a perfect Grounding Post for this over the Driver's Fender Well.)

2. Connect Black Wire(4) of PSS(2) to one Tab(5) of Hobbs Switch(6).

3. Connect a length of Wire(7) from other Tab(8) to Ground Source(3) under the hood.

4. Connect Orange Wire(9) of PSS(2) to a Positive Terminal(10) that derives its power from the Positive Battery Terminal. (Not necessarily to the battery, though. There is a Positive Post near the Fuse/Wiring Harnesses that is perfect for this. The Orange Wire has a fuse in it.)

5. Splice the Green Wire(11) of the PSS(2) into the Grey Wire (12) of the wiring bundle coming from the Fuse Box that has the Fule Pump Fuse in it.

6. Connect the Yellow Wire(13) of the PSS(2) to the Positive Terminal(14) of the Aeromotive Fuel Pump(15).

7. Connect the Negative Terminal(16) of the Fuel Pump(15) to Chassis Ground (17).

8. Connect the Vacuum Inlet(18) of the Hobbs Switch(6) to a Vacuum Source.

9. Set the Boost Sense Adjust Hex Screw(19) to your desired setting to actuate the pump.
(My desired setting was ZERO boost. Keep in mind, during cruising, you are always runnin under a vacuum, or negative boost. It will take significant throttle pressure to reach boost level.)
Counter-clockwise rotation, which backs the screw out, lowers the boost level actuation point.
