Default Cooler Air == Running More Lean?

Just wondering . . . I was tuning a bit with the car yesterday to get the O2's above .900mv. The temps were around 70-75. This morning on the way to work I again logged a couple of WOT blasts, but now my sensors are reading ~.875. The only change was the air temps, this morning they were right around 50. Would this account for the difference?

.900 is still pretty lean.

I'd shoot for .930

That's interesting . . . when I got my car wideband dynoed, my sensors were reading about .890 at 13:1 A/F . . .

You can't always assume the same A/F vs O2 for everybody. Sensors vary, location/temperature effects the numbers.

I run 885mv to 900mV, and that's wideband tuned for 12.2 to 11.8 A/F

Did your boost change at all w/ the lower temps?? I often see as much a 1 psi increase on a cold day. How much injector do you have? The denser air may be pushing them a little too hard <img src="gr_sad.gif" border="0">

That's what I was thinking, Harlan. I emailed Dave about it. I'm pretty sure what's happening is that my *stock* injectors are already maxed out at 7psi. I get the extra fuel I need from the aux. injectors. Because of the denser air, if I had more injector the MAF would sense more air, and tell the PCM to dump in more fuel, but now it can't because they're maxed. I think I'm going to be stuck with this changing with weather ( at least above 5psi ) until I get bigger injectors. Do you know the max we can run without needing PCM programming? And can LS1-Edit correct for larger injectors?
