Default HELP! how to tune a/f with fmu on wideband dyno?

I have my fuel pump working full force now that I removed a kink in the fuel line, now when the car shifts it falls on it's face and the fuel pressure is like 100psi. never did that before removing the kink in the line (must have been leaner)

I plan on going to a dyno soon do set the a/f ratio, the dyno does have wideband. Cost is $150 an hour so I want to make sure I can do it in an hour.

How to do it?
they hook it up then I get in the car and floor it?
until I go how fast?
how will I adjust my fmu while in the car?
can I have someone drive my car and me turn the fmu **** simply by watching the dyno screen a/f #?

what should me a/f be and at what rpm? just at full throttle???? I think ati said 11.9 or something???

Man! They are high-priced!

For an A-4 they should make sure where your car downshifts when in 3rd (for me it was about 60 MPH) and ensure they start their run on the dyno from above that point to whatever you tell them you want them to run it up to (RPMs-wise)
This gives a clean HP/TQ curve with minimal spikes.

I had them take mine to 6400 RPMs.

Just for reference, at 6000 RPMs in 3rd, my car is doing over 120 MPH. Only a fool would stand against a car with their head under the hood of a car running that fast on a dyno.

Before I go to adyno, Iwill try to dial my O2's in as close to .900 as possible without going less. Then, I'll see if I'm running too lean per the dyno. I also believe you might want to run slightly rich per the dyno because the track/street may make you leaner than a controlled run on a dyno... or it MIGHT make you go the other way, for all I know. :dunno: We have to be smart about all that we can, and assume nothing.

I'd LOVE to be close to GWP or BVPerformance or Ed Wright (if he would do it with LS1 Edit, and not lock my chit up) and have a real pro dial it in. But Jason feels since I have a personal copy of LS1-Edit, we can probably get it about as tight as anyone could.

Well... everybody has their theories.
Jason thinks a really well tuned car with a blower might get away with as high as 12.2 or so A/F at it's peak.
You want to run slightly rich up to where your peak torque is, then lean it out thru the remaining RPM range, keeping to about 12.0:1 at it's highest (11.9, 12.2... take your pick )

My A/F leans at 11.7:1 at 6400 RPMs but it is pig rich up to 5500 RPMs (less than 10.0:1).
BTW, I am making peak torque right about there, so Superchips had that right.
It's not their fault I went and put larger injectors, a smaller pulley and headers on it.
I think they did a good job with the tune.

I've got some work to do when my car can be WOT'd.
