12 Rib Pulley Question: Procharger
I bought a used Procharger kit from a friend, it's the P600b kit with the single intercooler. He told me he bought a new belt and pulley and that it was set up to run 8-9psi.
I want to run 12-14psi so I started looking into what I would need to replace to do that. *And no it will not be on a stock motor
What I found is that there is already a 12 rib pulley and a 12 rib belt on what I bought. Isn't that the setup for 12-14psi? That's what it looks like according to Prochargers' part list. If not, what is it?
Thanks.
Doesn't anyone know anything about 12 rib belts?
Many people purchase the P-1SC, then expand past what the P-1SC can handle. Once you add heads and a camshaft, you won't be able to see a lot of boost with the P-1SC. Many people who end up adding a forged bottom end and wanting to see 12 to 14 psi have to end up going with the D-1SC, or it's big brother the F1.
Here is a link to the ATI Spec's page. http://www.procharger.com/models.shtml
I would not recommend the P-1SC for what you are wanting to do, and it can support 825hp, according to ATI's charts. The P600B can only support 775hp, so don't expect to see a whole lot of boost out of it. Bob
Once again though, I bought the P600b for a steal, nearly 1/3 of the price of a D-1SC. Which is a kit I would have considered, if I wasn't broke.
I'm only trying to get ~500 hp and 11's out of the car. Because its my daily driver and I often make a 200 mile trip from school to home. So I think I can squeeze it out of the P600b.
